On September 11th, dozens of celebrities from the worlds of film, sport, TV, fashion and music will arrive at BGC’s offices in Canary Wharf, for its tenth annual Charity Day. BGC Partners, Inc. (“BGC Partners” or “BGC”) will be raising millions for charities in the UK and around the world by asking celebrities to conduct trades alongside licensed BGC brokers. 100% of the revenues generated on Charity Day are donated to worthwhile causes. To date, BGC together with its affiliate, Cantor Fitzgerald, has raised more than $100 million globally through its Charity Days.

BGC’s Charity Day commemorates the 658 Cantor and 64 Eurobrokers employees lost in the World Trade Center attacks. BGC is pleased to announce that this year Stephen Fry, Dynamo, Paddy McGuinness, Jonathan Ross, Damian Lewis, Jools Holland, Tamara Eccelstone, Boris Becker and Sir Chris Hoy are just some of the popular celebrities visiting BGC’s Canary Wharf office and helping raise money for dozens of worthwhile causes.

“2014 marks our tenth year of BGC Charity Day,” said Shaun Lynn, President of BGC Partners. “This year we’re looking forward to welcoming celebrity guests and charities and raising as much as possible for so many important causes. Thank you to our clients for their continued support.”

Charity Day will take place across a number of BGC’s offices including New York, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, São Paulo, and Sydney.

This year’s participating charities in the UK include: Anthony Nolan Trust, Autism Research Trust, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Breast Cancer Care, Caudwell Children, Centrepoint, CHICKS, Elephant Family, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Grief Encounter, Haven House Children’s Hospice, Hearing Dogs, I CAN, Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, Make-A-Wish, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Matt Hampson Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, Nordoff Robbins, Place2Be, Reverse Rett, Sohana Research Fund, Sparks, Starlight, Stroke Association and WellChild.
