The new teaser shows just how significant 12 midnight is to Ella (Lily James). She gets reminded over and over by her fairy godmother, played by Helena Bonham Carter, of her magic’s deadline. Just like in the iconic fairy tale, Ella’s appearance at the ball catches Prince Charming’s (played by “Game Of Thrones” star Richard Madden) attention. After dancing in the hall, they retreat to the garden where he tries to ask for her name.
Based on the first trailer, the prince meets Ella in the woods but looks entirely different from her glamorous appearance at the ball. Just before Ella tells him her name, however, the clock chimes 12 and she has to leave in a hurry. She leaves one of her glass shoes behind, which Prince Charming uses in his search for the mysterious girl. Will he be able to find her if Ella’s evil stepmother, Lady Tremaine, (Cate Blanchett) finds the other glass shoes and breaks it, leaving her with no proof of her identity?
