Warner Bros Digital Arm Slags SPC’s ‘Foxcatcher’; Studios Sharpening Elbows?

The new year has gotten off to an interesting start, with fact-based awards contenders battling controversy over perceived accuracy issues. Some at Sony were surprised tonight to see the Warner Bros Digital Entertainment Group’s WB Digital posting this on Twitter: #Foxcatcher Movie Slammed As ‘Complete Fiction’ By The Olympic Wrestler Who Inspired It. ‘Everything I’ve ever said positive about the movie I take back, I hate it.

Warner Bros DigitalNow, I checked the WB Digital site and it sure seems to be WB-product friendly, including one tweet that flouted the studio’s own awards-season candidate, American Sniper. That tweet read: #AmericanSniper widow says the film gets it right.
