Take a walk on the wild side…the animal print sneakers of dreams

By George Sullivan, CEO, The Sole Womens

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past six months, you’ll know that animal print is EVERYWHERE this year.

From high-end to highstreet, sales have soared; ASOS reported a 223 percent increase in animal print sales from last year and Net-A-Porter has doubled its buy of leopard-print pieces since last season.

Feline spots were all over the autumn 19 catwalks too, suggesting there’s at least another season’s mileage left from this perennial trend.

It’s not just clothing getting a primal makeover either. George Sullivan gives the lowdown on the best animal print sneakers, to please even the fussiest of fashionistas this summer…

For the one who loves a ‘Classic’

The LBD-equivalent for those with a more classic style, the Adidas Continental 80 Black Panther are vintage-style trainers with a plush finish.

Putting a wild new spin on the classic indoor trainer, the premium pony hair adds a bit of fun to this traditional style

For the one who loves value for money

Along with animal print, camouflage prints were also a massive hit this season, so imagine our excitement, when we discovered a pair of sneakers which combines both trends.

The Nike Air Force 1 Sage Low Premium Camo Orewood comes with a neutral silhouette and unique camo and animal print patterns throughout. A white midsole with foam gives the sneaker that cool, chunky look.

For those who like a more statement pair of sneakers, look no further than the Adidas Sambrose Leopard Print.

Sporting an all over leopard print, the 3-Stripe brand has introduced a soft touch, furry texture to this classic shoe. The exaggerated sole gives you a boost and some added height.
